Pumpkin Seed Pesto w/ Pecorino, organic
Our pumpkin seed pestos are carefully prepared in small batches every week using fresh ingredients. All three varieties are based on roasted pumpkin seeds and olive oil. Refined with fresh herbs and spices, they can be used in a variety of ways as a delicious spread on bread, with potatoes, cheese, sausage, or traditionally with pasta dishes. Because they are unpasteurized and preserved only by a layer of olive oil, they must always be stored in a cool place and consumed quickly after opening. A longer shelf life can be achieved by smoothing the pesto mixture after use and ensuring that it is covered with a layer of oil again. Our pumpkin seed pestos are also suitable for people with nut allergies, are gluten-free, and the "basil" and "pepperoni" varieties are also lactose-free and vegan.
